Heading into this weekend's QClash between the Gold Coast SUNS and Brisbane Lions at Metricon Stadium, TUSK we are ask to develop a Facebook application that could allow the supporters of each club to compete by pledging their support and voting for their favourite team. The 'QClash Tug of War' was developed to sit on both the SUNS and Lions respective Facebook pages, as supporters vote the tally presents the amount of votes each team has received. Participant votes are shared to their Facebook wall announcing their support for their chosen team. A great prize pack is on offer with the chance to win 4 tickets to the Virgin Lounge (we'll see you there), a club merchandise pack and be involved in a on-field contest prior to the match on game day.The app has fuelled the developing rivalrly between the two clubs and provided an outlet for supporters to get behind their team in the lead up to the game.
Feel like taking part? Get in quick as the comp closes 5pm Thursday 19 July.
If you didn't make it along to One Way Street Party over the weekend you missed a great event. The sun was out and a big crowd gathered in the park and lanes to sample all the creative goodness over a few drinks and a bite to eat. It's been great to see the Surfers Paradise Festival creative we've worked hard on over recent weeks come to life. With only a week left to run, make sure you get amongst it.
KINGSWOOD are a four-piece slab of classic indie rock from Melbourne who have just won the Triple J Unearthed and are about to hit the stage at this years Splendour in the Grass. They sound pretty great and we will be heading out to the Hard Rock in Surfers to catch these guys next Saturday.
Check out the Facebook app "Rock with Kingswood" we just launched for Hard Rock and you may even win yourself some tickets and dinner before the show.
One Way Street Party is back again for 2012 as part of the Surfers Paradise Festival. Live bands across 3 stages, fashion, food, art... it's all happening from 1pm this Saturday, 7 July and it's completely free. Last year's event was a tonne of fun (see clip below) and we'll be backing it up again this year - see you there.
You can check out what else is on as part of the festival here and download the iPhone app we developed here
